Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area and find an alternate route
Chesterfield, MO (KTRS) – A water main break is causing some big problems in Chesterfield Monday afternoon.
Roger Herrin is the Fire Marshall for the Monarch Fire Protection District and says the break is near the intersection of Long Road and Chesterfield Airport Road. Herrin says Missouri American Water crews are on the scene.
The road has buckled at the intersection, with some pieces of the road pushed two feet into the air. Herrin believes there will be an extended closure on Long Road.
In the meantime, drivers are encouraged to avoid the area and find an alternate route.
