Andy Summers, guitarist for the Police, out with a new LP, and the expose documentary “Can’t Stand Losing You” about the break-up of the band

Andy Summers played with The Animals and was deep in the London music world when Jimi Hendrix exploded on the scene….10 years before forming The Police. He’s out with new music and a DVD release of the documentary “Can’t Stand Losing You” about the tumultuous ending of the band in 1986.

Andy Summers had been around the London music scene for 10 years before he even helped found The Police in 1977 – say, did you know that Andy played with The Animals for a time, and he was on the scene when Jimi Hendrix first exploded on the scene…?

He’s out with a new album of instrumentals, and a DVD release of The Police documentary “Can’t Stand Losing You” (which was based off Andy’s 2006 memoir, “One Train Later”)

Check out his interview with host John Carney, and try to guess what Andy thinks is the most iconic Police song….(it’s pretty obvious)
