(KTRS) – The search continues for a suspect in the shooting death of a young Ferguson girl this week.
On Tuesday night, 9-year-old Jamyla Bolden was lying her mom’s bed and doing homework, when someone outside of the home started shooting Both Jamyla and her mother were hit, but police were unable to save Jamyla.
Ferguson Police Sergeant Dominica Fuller was one of the first to arrive at the scene. She has a nine-year-old daughter of her own and says the inside of the home was a somber scene.
Police say they have received some tips about the shooting, but are asking anyone with information to call either Ferguson Police or CrimeStoppers.
Ira DeWitt, wife to Cardinals President Bill DeWitt III, said she will paying for Jamyla’s funeral expenses.
