Mozeliak added that the conduct has not place in the game
St. Louis, MO (KTRS) – The St. Louis Cardinals officials are breaking their silence on the federal investigation into alleged hacking of a Houston Astros’ database.
CEO Bill DeWitt Jr. and GM John Mozeliak issued a statement today. The team is conducting an internal inquiry to identify any employee connected to the hacking. DeWitt said the accusations “do not reflect who we are as an organization.” He continued “if anyone within our organization is determined to be involved in anything inappropriate, they will be held accountable.”
Mozeliak added that the conduct has not place in the game. The team also retained an attorney when they were made aware of the investigation several months ago.
Anyone proven to be connected to hacking could face federal charges.
