Russian President Vladimir Putin has been under scrutiny lately for several alarming and mysterious deaths lately, of both Pro-Putin and Anti-Putin activists and high-ranking government workers. Be it from poisoning, falling out of windows, mysterious heart attacks, or good old-fashioned getting shot in the back, many deaths lately have been seen as cover-ups by the Putin administration, and the numbers are growing. We talk to Sarah Hurst, an independent journalist in England, working with USA Today, to compile and log all the deaths that have questionable ties to Putin.

Here’s a link to her coverage in USA Today, and the list of the 38 (so far) Russians who have died mysteriously.

Sarah Hurst is a journalist, author and Russian translator. She was born and raised in England, has lived in Russia, Azerbaijan and China, and has been in Alaska since 2001.
