( KTRS ) The U.S. Department of Justice is set to release the findings of its third and final review stemming from the unrest in Ferguson that followed the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Michael Brown.

The department’s Office of Community Oriented Policing Services report on the St. Louis County police department is due Friday.

St. Louis county police chief Jon Belmar, requested the review.

Brown, who was unarmed, was killed last year during a confrontation with then Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson, prompting months of civil unrest. A grand jury and the Justice Department declined to prosecute Wilson, who resigned.

The St. Louis county police department was among several agencies that initially provided security.

The first DOJ report criticized Ferguson police and municipal court practices. The second cited problems with the police response to protests.
