Reporter/Fill-in Anchor

The KTRS News team is looking for a part-time reporter and morning fill-in anchor. The part-time, requires the ability to gather, write, and report local news. Candidate must posses solid entrepreneurial reporting skills and be able to produce balanced and engaging content. Reporter will be required to write stories for the station’s website. Communication/Marketing/PR Interns

The KTRS Communication/Marketing Department has an opening for an intern. This is a hands-on internship, with opportunities to produce content that will be used on-air and online.

Internship Requirements:

• Excellent writing skills are a must, along with typing proficiency

• Basic Photoshop and WordPress skills (preferred)

• Applicants must be available for a minimum of 8 hours per week

• Preference will be given to interns looking for a career in field

• Interns must be enrolled in college or a college graduate

Internship Duties:

• Creating content for monthly newsletter

• Finding and producing content for station website and social media outlets

• Assisting with maintenance of station’s website

• Completing additional tasks as assigned

Sports Intern

KTRS is looking for interns eager to work in the sports department of your home of Missouri Tigers athletics in St. Louis. This is a hands-on internship: Assisting on-air sports talent in screening phone calls, researching for shows, gathering and editing sound among other miscellaneous tasks for sports shows. Interns are expected to work odd hours including nights and weekends and will not receive monetary compensation but can receive college credit for their work. Interns must be at least 18 years old. News Department Intern

The KTRS News Department has an opening for an intern. This is a hands-on internship, with opportunities to produce content that will be used on-air.

Internship Requirements:

  • Excellent writing skills are a must, along with typing proficiency and basic computer skills
  • Applicants must be available for a minimum of 12 hours per week
  • Knowledge of reporting fundamentals is a plus
  • Preference will be given to interns looking for a career in broadcast news
  • Interns must be enrolled in college

Internship Duties:

  • Preparing raw audio for use in on-air packages
  • Writing clear and concise stories for use during hourly newscasts
  • Producing content for station website
  • Assisting with maintenance of station’s social media accounts
  • Accompanying reporters on field interviews
  • Completing additional tasks as assigned
