Escaped Wolves Could Cause Problems

ROBERTSVILLE, MO  –   Authorities in Franklin County are searching for two wolves that escaped from captivity.

Franklin County Sheriff Gary Toelke says his office was told Monday that the timber wolves escaped from a caged area at a home near Robertsville.

The animals were last seen Sunday night. Both weigh between 100 and 150 pounds.

The owner says the wolves are not aggressive, but they may be defensive. He is also unsure how the wolves will act when they get hungry.

If you do spot these wolves,  keep your distance and call the Missouri Department of Conservation or the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department.
