Gold Beats Black in Mizzou Spring Game

Defense Holds Their Own Despite Loss

The scoreboard read the offense beat the defense in a 24-0 win for the Gold in the annual Black/Gold game at Mizzou. But the undermanned defense was impressive at times forcing the offense into four punting situations, and sacking the quarterback five times.

Drew Lock threw for 63 yards on 8-of-14 passing. Sophomore Jack Lowary threw for two touchdowns meanwhile, both caught by Emanuel Hall.

Redshirt freshman Dawson Downing rushed for the other touchdown, as both Damarea Crocket and Ish Witter sat the game out.

Nate Howard led the defense with two sacks on the day.
