With no progress on the horizon, there could be cuts to critical state services
(KTRS) – Governor Bruce Rauner is on the road, appealing directly to voters after state lawmakers finished their legislative session without passing a budget.
At an event Wednesday Rauner said that House Speaker Michael Madigan has led the state to huge deficit and billions in debt. Illinois has been operating without a budget since July. With no progress on the horizon, there could be cuts to critical state services.
