The recall effort began in March after the mayor declined to resign his office
Ferguson (KTRS) – James Knowles III, the mayor of Ferguson, could be facing a recall election.
The leader of the Recall Knowles 2015 group told the Post-Dispatch that they have collected more than the required number of signatures to begin the recall process. If the signatures are verified by the city clerk, the City Council would be asked to set a date for an election. That request would then go to the St. Louis County Election Board.
