Hillary Clinton Campaign Officially Kicks Off In St. Louis

St. Louis, MO  (KTRS)  The Hillary Clinton campaign is officially underway in St. Louis.

Thursday night lawmakers, community leaders, and hundreds of supporters kicked off the opening of the “Hillary For America St. Louis Headquarters.” Senator Claire McCaskill hosted the opening of this campaign.

“It’s not just that she’s the most qualified and ready to be commander and chief on day one. It’s because she will get things done for you and for your families. It’s about you. It’s not about her. It’s more important than about a resume. It’s about results.” said McCaskill.

Senator Jamilah Nasheed refered to the presidential election as “sweet sixteen”  and even had some positive words towards Bernie Sanders. “See we like Bernie Sanders. He’s one of us, but he’s not the man that can get the job done. He’s not the man that can beat the extreme Republican in 2016. This is the year of the woman.”

St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay was also in attendance.  “I’m fired up about Hillary in St. Louis and I’m very, very excited about the Clinton campaign coming to St. Louis.”  Slay added that he is also excited about “everyone working” not only help Clinton to win Missouri, but “win the White House in November.”

The St. Louis Clinton headquarters is being housed in the Laborors’ 42 Local Union Hall in midtown St. Louis.
