History Museum finds use for Delmar lot

Officials with the Missouri History Museum appear to have found a use for a controversial parcel of land in the 5800 block of Delmar bought from former St. Louis Mayor Freeman Bosley, Junior.

Construction on the Loop Trolly which will link the museum to the Delmar Loop retail district is expected to start this summer. The museum board voted Wednesday to lease the land as a staging area for that construction.

The museum board paid $875,000 for the vacant lot which is worth less than $300,000. The museum president was later ousted over the purchase.
