Andy Strickland is an award-winning broadcaster and has been a St. Louis veteran since 1998. Riverfront Times named Strickland the Best Reporter in St. Louis. He is widely known for his coverage of the National Hockey League, where he can be heard throughout the U.S. and Canada on radio and television. Strickland is also the sideline reporter for the St. Louis Blues television broadcasts on Fox Sports Midwest.
Jamal Mayers played for five different NHL teams over the course of his career and has seen action in 63 playoff games. Mayers began his hockey career in 1996-97 with the St. Louis Blues for ten seasons before moving on to the Toronto Maple Leafs, Calgary Flames, San Jose Sharks, and finally the Chicago Blackhawks – leading to a Stanley Cup championship in 2012-13.
Mayers represented Canada three times at the World Championship (2000, 2007, 2008), which included helping Canada win the gold medal in 2007 and the silver medal in 2008.
Currently, Mayers is doing broadcast work for the NHL Network on “On the Fly” and “NHL Tonight”. He is a Pre-post game and intermission analyst on Fox Sports Midwest for St. Louis Blues road games. Mayers is also an active member of the NHLPA and served as a Player Representative on the Executive Board for the Players’ Pension Plan.
