It would seem that Busch Stadium was a dog owners' "Baseball Heaven" at least for one day out of the year. Purina's "Pooches in the Park" was held on Sunday August 24th and we were on hand at the event--- just hanging out and soaking up the atmosphere. Okay, you twisted my arm… the ‘we’ referred to above was myself, my wife and my happy-go-lucky puppy Connor. I am the webguy here at KTRS and I was lucky enough to get tickets to this ‘SOLD OUT’ event. It seems that bringing your four-legged friend to the ball park is a popular event and it’s a growing trend in Major League Baseball as several clubs have opened their doors to those hairier-than-normal fans once a year. The atmosphere of the ballyard was dynamically different- it was lighter and friendlier. There was plenty of action on the field and almost as much in the stands. There were lots of ‘oohs, aaahs, and awws…’ as dogs and their owners walked throughout the stadium. To me, it's simply amazing how pets seemed to brighten a gorgeous sunny day and a stadium full of people. A quick recap… well all I can say is it was great.I took some pictures, but not many… if you were on-hand and snapped some pictures feel free to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it and I will link or post accordingly.
