St. Louis, Mo ( KTRS ) St. Louis’ police chief says three suspicious items that forced the evacuation of City Hall for several hours yesterday have been cleared and are not a threat.

Chief Sam Dotson says the two cylinders found Tuesday morning along with a backpack or bag near City Hall entrances were abandoned CO2 canisters.

Maggie Crane a spokeswoman for the Mayor Slays office says there were no known written or verbal threats.

New members of the 28-member Board of Aldermen were to have been sworn in Tuesday inside City Hall, but the ceremony was shifted to a nearby park.
