We are more than..

The trademark of great radio programming begins with a community. The Big 550 takes tremendous pride in being a local, community driven radio station. We are St. Louis, from our investors and management to our Personalities, and everything in between. We understand that it is our connection to our local community that continues to set us apart from other stations. Many syndicated stations claim to be local, but seriously lack the ability to truly reflect our community. The Big 550’s presence at local events keeps our visibility high, while furthering our effort to broadcast news stories relevant to St. Louis and its community. Through our KTRS Cares initiative, we try to team up with as many local non-profits as possible to help advertise their efforts within the St. Louis community and surrounding areas.

We are more than just a radio station, we are St. Louis.

Home for the Holidays:

The Home for the Holidays program, is an annual program sponsored by A D Lift Truck, designed to give returning veterans and their families, a very merry Christmas. This is our way of expressing gratitude to local veterans for their service by offering them a Christmas tree, lighting and ornaments for the tree, gift certificates, an ice skating outing, and more!

A huge thanks goes out to our 2014 sponsors: A D Lift Truck, Auto Fresh, Better Life Maids, Daniels Farm & Green, Nigel’s Flooring, Blown Away Blow Dry Bar, Creative Landscapes LTD, Ginghams Homestyle Restaurant, St. Louis Billikens, and St. Ferdinand City of Florissant.

Toys For Tots, KTRS Toy Drive:

Each December KTRS will be working with Toys For Tots at Chesterfield Mall to collect toys that will be distributed to children of need in the greater St. Louis area.

If your non-profit would like the opportunity to advertise on our website please email Heather Mueller at heather.mueller@ktrs.com.
