Program Notes

Things going on around KTRS:

The Big 550’s Creative Services Director, Steve Wein, won two separate awards this summer: International Radio and Prodution Award presented by Radio and Production Magazine and the Missouri Broadcasters Association Award. Wein was one of only five Americans out of 30 nominations listed for the International Radio and Production Award. This was Wein’s 13th time being nominated, but his first time winning this category.

Wein won the Missouri Broadcaster Association Award in the commercial category for a commercial he wrote, voiced and produced for Taylor Roofing, titled “OOOPS!”. This is Wein’s fourth Missouri Broadcasters Association Award, out of six nominations. Above is a photo of Mr. Wein holding his award in front of his ‘Wall of Awards’ located in his studio.

Newsmax came out with its top 50 most influential local talk radio hosts and shows for 2015. Congratulations to both John Carney (#30) and McGraw Milhaven (#39) for making the list!
