LA Times: NFL looking for temporary home for teams in California

The NFL appears to be in the process of looking for a temporary stadium in Los Angeles.

The LA Times reports that the league is requesting proposals from several venues in southern California that would like to become a temporary home for NFL team, or teams. The only two sites named in the report were the Coliseum and Rose Bowl. Three teams are mulling relocation to LA. The Raiders and Charges have a proposal to build a shared stadium. Stan Kroenke has proposed a stadium for the Rams in Inglewood.

A special meeting of NFL owners is scheduled for August 11 where the may discuss temporary venues in California. Los Angeles last had an NFL franchise in 1995, when both the Rams and Raiders left the city.
