The removal of the memorial coincidentally falls on what would have been Michael Brown’s 19th birthday
Ferguson (KTRS) – The City of Ferguson and Michael Brown’s family have agreed on a plan to move a shrine to the teen.
The memorial, comprised mostly of stuffed animals and flowers, has been in the middle of Canfield Drive since shortly after Brown’s death. The family will be moving the items to another location and they will determine what to do with them.
Ferguson Mayor James Knowles says there are also plans to remember the events after Brown’s death with a dove that will be placed near the Canfield Apartments. Michael Brown’s father says there will also be a plaque placed in the sidewalk on Canfield Drive.
