St. Louis, MO (KTRS) – And a heads-up for drivers this weekend–sections of two major highways will be closed starting Friday. That could make for some traffic headaches you’re heading to Clayton or downtown St. Louis.

At 8 PM Friday, MoDOT will shut down Highway 64/40 eastbound between Hampton and Forest Park Avenue. All ramps in the area will be shut down as well. However, one eastbound lane will remain open between Hampton and Kingshighway. Crews will be repairing and replacing the pavement

Also at 8 PM Friday, crews will shut down I-170 Southbound between Forest Park Parkway and Highway 64/40 for preventative maintenance on the Clayton Road Bridge. All lanes and ramps for both of these projects are slated to reopen by 5 a.m. Monday.
