   A Powerball player in the St. Louis area will soon have a fatter wallet.  That's because a $1 million winning ticket was sold at a South County liquor store.  

   While no one won matched all six numbers to win Wednesday's $360 million  jackpot, Missouri Lottery officials say a ticket matching all five white balls was sold at Telegraph Liquors in the 5600 block of Telegraph Road.   That ticket is worth $1 million.  

   A $10,000 ticket was also sold at a QuikTrip in Ellisville.  

   Since there was no big winner Wednesday,  the jackpot for Saturday's drawing has increased to an estimated $550 million.

   One person in Missouri is $1 million richer after matching the five white balls in Wednesday night's Powerball drawing.

   The numbers drawn were 2-11-26-34-41, with a Powerball of 32.  

   No one won the $360 million dollar Powerball jackpot.  With no winner, Powerball officials project that the next drawing will be worth an estimated $475 million.

FLORISSSANT, Mo. (AP) - Someone is holding a $2.7 million winning Missouri Lotto ticket, but lottery officials don't yet know who the lucky person is.

The Lotto ticket purchased at a QuikTrip in the St. Louis County town of Florissant matched all six numbers in the drawing from Saturday. The winning numbers are 14, 20, 21, 24, 25 and 35.

There were other winners over the weekend, too. Lottery officials say someone in Hannibal won $250,000 playing Mega Millions on Friday, and a $232,000 Show Me Cash ticket was sold Saturday in St. Louis.

Anyone with a winning ticket should sign the back and has 180 days from the drawing to claim the prize at Missouri Lottery offices in St. Louis, Jefferson City, Springfield and Kansas City.

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) - A Missouri House committee is considering bill that would allow lottery winners to remain anonymous after claiming their prizes.

 

   Sponsoring Rep. Rochelle Walton Gray, of Black Jack, told the House Local Government Committee Thursday that winning the lottery can subject a person to hardship. Her measure would prevent the Missouri Lottery from releasing the names or addresses of prize winners without their written consent.

   Officials from the Missouri Lottery say revealing a winner's identity provides legitimacy to games and helps sell more tickets. The names of lottery winners are also subject to Missouri's Sunshine Law, making identity information available to open records request.

CHICAGO (AP) — Gov. Pat Quinn says there's need for improvement after the private manager of the Illinois Lottery fell short of promised profits.

The lottery says that Northstar Lottery Group projected net income of about $851 million for fiscal year 2012. The lottery says profits actually were $757 million, about $95 million short. Northstar took over management of the Illinois Lottery in July 2011.

Quinn told reporters after an unrelated event in Chicago that the management model needs improvement. He didn't offer many specifics but says one fix could be trying to attract more people to play the lottery.

The profit targets are part of a management agreement between the lottery and Northstar. The agreement says Northstar must pay the lottery $20 million if it doesn't reach the target.
