Metro lists bus routes impacted by flooding

Saturday, 01 June 2013 01:56 Published in Local News

Due to extensive storm damage, MetroBus currently is not able to serve the #34 Earth City route.

Two MetroBus routes are impacted by flooding at this time:

#61 Chambers

#75 Lilac Hanley

The following MetroBus routes in North St. Louis County are still impacted by power lines and trees down in the roadways.

#35 Rock Road

#36 Spanish Lake

#44 Hazelwood

#45 Ferguson Florissant

#74 Florissant

#75 Lilac Hanley

There are still service disruptions, delays and multiple reroutes on several of these routes.

MetroLink is on time. There are no delays. Trains are running on schedule.  Metro Call-A-Ride is operating normal service.

Chesterfield Police have filed charges against a woman who crashed her vehicle into the emergency doors at St. Luke's Hospital early this (Friday) morning.

17-year-old Yahontas Moore of St. Louis has been charged with driving while intoxicated. She backed into the emergency room doors and crashed into the same parked car twice.

The Monarch Fire Protection District reported that Moore had come to St. Luke's because one of the occupants in the vehicle needed medical attention.

LOUISIANA, Mo. (AP) - The rising Mississippi River is forcing closure of a bridge at Louisiana, Mo.

The Missouri Department of Transportation announced Friday morning that the Champ Clark Bridge on U.S. 54 would close at 7 p.m. Friday due to flooding on the bridge approach on the Illinois side.

The closure creates an inconvenience for travelers - the next nearest river crossing is at Hannibal, Mo., 35 miles to the north.

Heavy rain has caused the Mississippi, Missouri and many other Midwestern rivers to rise above their banks. Some towns are expected to see crests of more than 10 feet above flood stage by early next week.
