More vehicle break-ins

Cars parked in Forest Park overnight were targeted by vandals. 

  They were parked near the Grand Basin and Art Hill.

     Scattered glass was strewn across the lot and police found several handbags that had been rummaged through and discarded.

    Police found  vandalized vehicles in the park with similar evidence found including broken windows, car doors left open and items thrown about. Authorities say they also had similar incidents on West Pine in the park.

 

Taubman Prestige Outlets opening Friday

Attention shoppers: One of Chesterfield's new outlet malls officially opens their doors today. Taubman Prestige Outlets will be open to the public starting at 10:00 this morning. The mall is located off Highway 40 near the Boone's Crossing exit. The first 1000 customers in line by 9:30 a.m. get a free $20 gift card. Taubman Prestige Outlets has room for about 70 retailers. So far they've about 75% filled. Chesterfield's other new outlet mall, St. Louis Premium Outlets, opens August 22.

Woman charged with leaving rifle in crib

A St. Peters woman is accused of leaving a loaded rifle in her toddler’s crib and tying the girl to the garage. 37-year-old Cheryl Dudley face eight counts of endangering the welfare of a child, along with one count of child abuse. Neighbors called police when they saw the child tied to the garage. In the house, officers say they found a loaded rifle in the toddler’s crib. Dudley allegedly said she put it there after hearing noises in her back yard but forgot to take it out after realizing nobody was there. There were also allegedly drugs in a dresser in a house and the house was in deplorable condition.
