MetroLink riders should expect delays this week

Monday, 16 September 2013 15:33 Published in Local News

Riders on the MetroLink could experience short delays this week.

Work is scheduled to start today and is expected to run through Sunday. MetroLink will operate on a single track at the Rock Road and Wellston stations today, Friday, and over the weekend. Red Line passengers could be delayed up to 10 minutes. Tuesday through Thursday, a single track will operate at the UMSL South, UMSL North, and North Hanley stations.

Blue Line passengers could then experience short delays.

The search for a woman reported missing from University of Missouri-St. Louis is over.

University officials issued a missing person alert last week for Allison Reed. Her father dropped her off at a university housing complex around 8 PM Thursday.

A university spokesman says Reed was found at a nearby hospital. She is not currently enrolled in classes, but lives in a students facility.

TROY, Mo. (AP) - A former St. Charles County middle school teacher has been sentenced to seven years in prison for secretly videotaping boys as they undressed in a camp shower.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that 39-year-old Matthew Hansen of Winfield was sentenced last week for possession of child pornography. Hansen is also awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty in federal court to eight counts of attempted production of child porn. The state and federal sentences will run concurrently.

Hansen is a former math teacher at West Middle School in the Fort Zumwalt district.

Authorities say the crimes happened between 2007 and 2012. School officials have cited evidence that Hansen videotaped at least 80 boys at an outdoor education camp in Cuivre River State Park in Lincoln County.
