Los Angeles NFL stadium could be a no-go

Could be good news for Rams fans. It seems that a plan to build a NFL stadium in Los Angeles may be dead before work begins.

Yahoo Sports reports that the plan may be called of due to economic factors. The main investor in the stadium, AEG, worries about making enough money to pay debt on the stadium. LA was considered the most likely landing spot for the Rams if they leave St. Louis.

Missouri Baptist University to add football program

A university in West County is adding a football team to their varsity sports lineup.

KSDK reports that Missouri Baptist University will scrimmage next year, but plans to compete in the NAIA in 2014. Officials expect to recruit over 100 new students for football and more for the expanded cheerleading program.

MBU will play their home games on CBC's field.

Missouri's unemployment rate drops again

Missouri's unemployment rate continues to drop, but slowly.

January's rate dropped one-tenth of a point to 6.6 percent--which is the lower level in over four years.

A spokesperson for the Department of Economic Development says that Missouri's rate has been below the national average for 41 months. The national rate sits at 7.9 percent now.
