Police say they expect the lane restrictions to stay in place until after tomorrow's morning rush.  They're asking drivers to avoid the area.

No one injured in south city building collapse

Thursday, 10 April 2014 15:49 Published in Local News

Wind may be to blame for a partial building collapse in south St. Louis Thursday morning.

Officials with the St. Louis Fire Department say no one was inside the two-story brick warehouse at Ohio and Victor when part of a wall fell.  Bricks rained into the street, but no one was injured.

The building has been vacant for some time, and neighbors had complained to the city the building began leaning toward the street following recent high winds.

Fox 2 News reports that the city's collapse task force has taken over the scene and will supervise the demolition of the structure.

Green-Beckham won't face charges in Columbia burglary

Thursday, 10 April 2014 14:57 Published in Local News

Missouri wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham won't face any charges related to a burglary reported at the Brookside Apartments early Sunday morning. That's according to a statement released by Columbia Police Thursday.

The incident report, released the same day, alleges that Green-Beckham had forced his way into the apartment, injuring a resident by knocking her down some stairs.  Green-Beckham had reportedly been looking for his girlfriend at the time.

According to the police report, the two women who had tried to bar his entry have declined to press charges.  The injured woman reportedly told police she was afraid of the community and media backlash if she pressed charges against the star MU player.

Tigers coach Gary Pinkel had suspended Green-Beckham indefinitely for an undisclosed violation of team rules.
