Victims of murder-suicide identified

   WILDWOOD, Mo. (AP) - St. Louis County police say a man and his son were found dead in a state park near St. Louis.
The bodies of 57-year-old Douglas Potter and his 20-year-old son Joseph were found Tuesday near a hiking trail in Babler State Park in Wildwood.
Spokesman Brian Schellman says police believe Douglas Potter shot his son and then killed himself.
A couple walking in the park found the bodies and a vehicle that belonged to one of the men was discovered nearby.
Authorities evacuated the park except for a group of students who were on a camping trip in an area away from where the bodies were found.

Bodies of two men found at Babler State Park

   St. Louis County Police aren't releasing the names of two men found shot to death at Babler State Park in Wildwood Tuesday evening.  

   Police won't call it a murder-suicide, but St. Louis County Police officer Brian Schellman confirms that investigators are not looking for anybody in connection to the shootings.  

   One of the men found dead was middle-aged and the other in his late 20s.  Police say they may be father and son.  

   Their bodies were discovered about 5:00 p.m. by two people out for a walk in the park.  

   Authorities say they'll release the victims' names after relatives are notified.

ST. LOUIS (AP) — St. Louis police say a 35-year-old man with a history of domestic violence killed his wife and son before fatally shooting himself.

The Post-Dispatch reports that the man cut lawns for his landlord. When the man didn't show up for work Saturday, the landlord went to the south St. Louis home that the family recently moved into and found the bodies.

The man's 26-year-old wife and 3-year-old child had been shot multiple times. Police didn't immediately release their names.

Police say the man had been charged in May with hitting his wife with a tire iron.
