WASHINGTON (AP) - Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill says she is supporting a super political action committee encouraging Hillary Rodham Clinton to run for president in 2016.
McCaskill is the first sitting member of Congress to endorse the group, called Ready for Hillary.
The organization does not have official ties to the former secretary of state but it's trying to lay the foundation for another Clinton campaign.
McCaskill was an early supporter of Barack Obama when he was running for president in 2008. She says it's important for supporters of Clinton to start early and build a "grassroots army from the ground up" to help the former first lady if she decides to run for president.
McCaskill was re-elected to her second term in the Senate in 2012.
Person thrown from SUV on Page after crashing into pole

One person was thrown from an SUV after the vehicle struck a pole in west St. Louis Tuesday morning.
According to police, a vehicle was traveling near the intersection of Page and Belt round 7 a.m. when it hit a traffic light.
Authorities said one person was ejected as the vehicle rolled over and ended up on its side. The victim’s condition is unknown.
Page was closed in the area as crews worked to clear the scene.
No word yet on what caused the driver to crash.
Mo. season to open for bullfrogs and green frogs

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) - Missouri's frogging season is about to begin.The hunting season for bullfrogs and green frogs begins at sunset on June 30 and ends Oct. 31. Missourians can capture the frogs with a hunting or a fishing permit.
Options for grabbing hopping prey include by hand, net, gig or pole and line. People who have a hunting permit also can use a .22-caliber rifle, pellet gun or bow.
Permits aren't required for those younger than 16 or older than 65.
Artificial light can be used and the daily limit is eight frogs. The possession limit allows people to store no more than 16 frogs at a time. After a frog is speared, it must be kept.
