Charges are filed against 17-year-old Charles Guice in the hit-and-run that killed a 2-year-old boy.

He faces one count of Leaving the Scene of an Accident. On Sunday night, officers found a 17-year-old woman and the 2-year-old boy in road--witnesses said they were hit by a driver in a white SUV. The teen survived the accident, but the toddler died.

Police found the vehicle on Monday and Guice turned himself in when he found out police were looking for him. He told officers he was scared, and that is why he drove away from the accident.

Leaving the Scene of an Accident is a Class D felony, meaning a conviction could carry a sentence of no more than four years in prison. No other charges were announced.

Police are questioning a person of interest connected to the hit-and-run that killed a two-year-old boy in North County last night.

St. Louis County Police say they found the SUV that hit the boy and his aunt Sunday night. The accident happened on Redmond Road in Spanish Lake. 2-year-old Darion Griffin died, his 17-year-old aunt Sheria Evans was hospitalized. No word on any charges in the case.

ST. LOUIS (AP) — Police say two people have died in a collision involving a tractor-trailer and an SUV just outside the St. Louis city limits.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that after the collision early Saturday, the tractor-trailer continued southbound driving through two power poles, hitting a fence and a pontoon boat. The trailer wound up on its side, spilling its contents of beer bottles and cans across the road.

The drivers of both vehicles were killed. The names of the victims haven't been released.

Police also said a section of the roadway would be closed while authorities investigated the cause of the accident and debris was removed from the scene.

   Three people, including a St. Louis police officers are seriously injured after a car slammed into a patrol car in Midtown Tuesday night.  It happened about 9:30 at Washington and Compton.  

   Police say a passenger car with three people inside had been driving erratically earlier in the evening.  Police pursued the car, but had to stop to answer another call.  

   A short time later, the car ran through the intersection and struck a different police car.  

   One person climbed out of the passenger car and ran from the scene.  The two other people in the car, and the police officer were all taken to the hospital.  All three are listed in serious condition.  

   Police are still looking for the person who fled.

   A Fenton man is dead after being struck by a pick-up truck along Highway 141 yesterday afternoon.  

   Police say 35 year old Matthew Griesheimer had been crossing the highway near the Gravois Bluffs Shopping  Center around 1 p.m. when he was hit.  

   Griesheimer was taken to St. Anthony's Hospital, but later died.

   Southbound 141 was closed for about two hours following the accident.

A contractor working on the Blanchette Bridge died after an accident Monday morning.

Just before 11 AM, the worker was hit by a large barrel. He died from his injuries. The man has not been identified, but was an employee of Walsh Construction--they were hired to perform the bridge repairs.

Crews were set to close the exit ramp from westbound 70 to southbound Fifth Street for work Monday night, but that project has been postponed.

Authorities say one person is dead after an accident on the Page Extension. The accident happened at Bennington Place. The only vehicle visible on traffic cameras was a pickup truck. No word on the cause of the accident and the victim's name has not been released.

One person is dead after a SUV ran a red light in Berkeley  last night around 9:30.

Missouri Highway Patrol officials say 29 year old Leroy Jennings of St. Louis was southbound on Evergreeen, ran a red light at the intersection and collided with an eastbound car on Airport Road.

A passenger in Jennings sport utility vehicle, 34 year old Lawrence Woods of St. Louis, was seriously hurt and taken to Barnes Jewish Hospital.

The other driver, a 23 year old Brentwood woman suffered minor injuries in the collision.

A scary Memorial Day for one elderly north St. Louis resident.

Around 10 this morning, a car crashed through the front wall of a 72-year-old woman's home. Two passengers in the car were injured, but the homeowner was uninjured. KSDK reports that rescue crews noticed the smell of natural gas and Laclede Gas employees shut off the home's supply.

The home has been deemed uninhabitable by city officials and the woman will have to stay with her daughter while repairs are performed. No word on why the car lost control and hit the house.

   Four adults, two of them coaches with a girls basketball team from St. Louis, are in critical condition after an accident involving the team's van.  

   The crash happened Saturday about 20 miles south of Nashville, Tennessee.  The minivan carrying the St. Louis Lady Monarchs was clipped by another vehicle and then crossed the center line and struck a car.  

   Seven 16 year old girls were injured.  Two small children, ages 1 and 2, were also injured.  All off the children were treated and released from a local hospital.  

   The two coaches and two adults in the oncoming car are hospitalized in critical condition.  Police say none of the injured was wearing a seat belt.  

   The team had been in Tennessee for a basketball tournament.
