St. Louis, MO (KTRS) - Police in Troy, Illinois may have solved one possible child abduction case, but another incident is being investigated.

Police in Breckenridge Hills say a 13-year-old girl was waiting at a bus stop this morning when she was approached by a stranger. The girl was standing at Gordon and St. Charles Rock Road when a man in a van tried to lure her into the car. The girl ran away.

The van is described as a full-sized white van with a ladder on top.  The girl told police the passenger who tried to get her to come to the van was a Hispanic male wearing a red ballcap and a red hoodie. Anyone with information is asked to call the police.

The girl was waiting for the bus in the 4100 block on Muro Lane in Bridgeton Wednesday. She told officers that a man in a white van parked and asked her to help him load something into the vehicle. When she refused, the man grabbed her. The girl escaped and the suspect drove off in the van.

In both cases, the suspect is described as a white man in his 40s.  The girl told police he has a tattoo on his right forearm and was wearing a camouflage jacket with black pants and a black baseball hat.

Bridgeton police say they don't know if the incidents are related, but they're ask anyone with information to call them at 314-739-7557.

The Bridgeton incidents come less than a week after a suspicious incident at an Ellisville bus stop. A fourth-grade girl was waiting for the bus when she says a woman in a white van tried to coax her into the vehicle three separate times. The girl ran home and her parents called police.

Police say a diabetic seizure may have been behind the accident that killed a baby and injured it's mother at a Metro Bus Stop in Northwoods Monday afternoon.

The Missouri Highway Patrol reports that the driver of the car, 41-year old Larry Jones, may have blacked out just before crashing his car in the 6900 block of Natural Bridge.

Witnesses say the car suddenly veered across the street, hit a light post and then crashed into a Metro Bus.

39-year old Erica Hughes and her infant daughter, Alyja Hughes had been waiting for the bus.  The infant died at the hospital.  Both Jones and Hughes are hospitalized in serious condition.
