The post office in downtown Collinsville is in its final week of operation.
The downtown location will close on Friday, January 31. All operations will be consolidated in the "Gateway Center", putting all postal workers in one facility. The combined operations will start Monday, February 3.]]>
Closures are scheduled for multiple interstates in downtown St. Louis later this week.
The first closures start Thursday evening at 7 PM. Crews will close two left lanes on westbound 70 from Biddle to Branch, but they should reopen by Friday morning rush. Ramps from the MLK Bridge and Biddle will also close at 7 PM Thursday and will open by the Saturday morning.
· Friday, September 20: Crews will be closing the two right lanes on westbound Poplar Street Bridge starting at 8 p.m. At 12:01 Saturday, crews will close the right two lanes on the eastbound PSB. All PSB lanes are projected to reopen before 5 a.m. Monday.
· Saturday, September 21, after 12:01 a.m. crews will periodically close either the ramp from eastbound I-70 to the Poplar Street Bridge or the ramp from northbound I-55 to the Poplar Street Bridge. Neither ramp will be closed at the same time. Both ramps will be open by 5 a.m. Monday.
The St. Louis CVC wants to inform the public of new lanes closures for tomorrow night's game.
The Broadway exits from eastbound 70 will close 2 hours 45 minutes before the game and one hour after the game ends. Broadway will also close between Cole and Convention Plaza 2 and a half hours before the game and for 1 hour after the game.
Another reminder, the NFL implemented a new clear bag policy.
Portion of Broadway to Close for 2013 Rams Games
Broadway exits off I-70 Eastbound will be closed to traffic beginning 2 hours and 45 minutes prior to game time and 1 hour after the conclusion of the game.
Broadway between Cole Street and Convention Plaza will close 2 ½ hours prior to game time and 1 hour after the conclusion of the game.
I-70 Eastbound traffic headed downtown will exit at Pine.
To access the Lumiere Casino complex, from Pine make a right turn on 4th Street, proceed to Carr and turn right.
To access parking North of the Edward Jones Dome, from Pine make a right turn on 4th Street, proceed to Cass and turn left.
Drop-off along Broadway for guests with disabilities will be available by exiting at Pine and then making a right turn on 4th Street, proceed to Biddle and turn left, continue to Broadway and turn left, continue to the intersection of Broadway and Cole where security personnel will assist you.
Please note that this portion of Broadway is being closed in addition to the closures that normally occur 4 hours prior to game time around the perimeter of the Edward Jones Dome on Cole Street and Convention Plaza.
New 2013 Bag Policy
Beginning with preseason games, all NFL teams will implement a new NFL policy that limits the size and type of bags that may be brought into stadiums. The NFL strongly encourages fans to not bring any type of bags, but outlined below are the bags or packages that are permissible:
Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12”x6”x12.”
One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar).
Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand with or without a handle or strap, no larger than 4.5”x6.5.”
An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at any gate.

After three years of lawsuits, developer Paul McKee is hoping to restart his stalled NorthSide Regeneration Project.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the city's Tax Increment Finance Commission will hold a public hearing Wednesday on McKee's request for some changes to the $390 million TIF package that the Board of Aldermen had approved for for the project four years ago.
A spokesman for the project says they need officials to restart the clock the 1,500 acre redevelopment.
The public hearing also gives residents another chance to chime in.
McKee says if he wins the TIF changes, ground could be broken next spring on the 2 square mile development site north of downtown.
A police are looking for two suspects after a high speed chase.
The pursuit started after a home invasion in Jennings Friday morning. The suspects sped away from officers and led them on a chase. The pursuit ended in downtown St. Louis. The suspects ran into a nearby building. Police have formed a perimeter around the building.
