A teenager from St. Genevieve is dead and two others are injured after an accident Sunday night in South St. Louis County. The crash happened just after 7:00 p.m. on southbound I-55 just north of Highway 61.
The Missouri Highway Patrol reports that 17 year old Danielle Pfaff was killed when the Pontiac Grand Am she was driving left the highway and struck a tree. Pfaff was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 16 year old girl was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Creve Couer with serious injuries. A 15 year old girl was taken by ambulance to Mercy Jefferson Hospital with moderate injuries.
It's not clear what caused Pfaff to lose control of her car.
A Winfield man is dead after a crossover accident on Highway 79 Wednesday afternoon.
The Missouri Highway Patrol reports that 30 year old Samantha Russo lost control of her northbound car, sideswiped another northbound car and then cross into oncoming traffic. Russo's car struck a pickup truck head-on.
The pickup driver, 48 year old Dennis Stevens was killed. Russo was taken to Mercy Hospital in serious condition. The other northbound driver wasn't hurt.
The accident shut down Highway 79 for most of the afternoon.
Traffic is reportedly moving again along eastbound Interstate 64 near Mascoutah. Illinois State Police shut down the highway about 6:30 p.m. after a three-vehicle crash near Illinois Route 4.
St. Clair County Deputy Coroner Curtis Schildknecht tells the Belleville News-Democrat that one person was killed in the rollover accident. The name of the victim hasn't been released pending notification of family members.
Eastbound 64 drivers spent as much as three hours stuck on the highway before cars were turned around and guided off the interstate at Illinois Route 158.
Accident reconstruction crews completed their on-site investigation and one lane of the interstate was reopened to traffic by 11 p.m.

Troopers say a Maroon Ford Ranger truck hit an 80-year-old man who was walking along Highway B near Hillsboro, Missouri. The victim died from his injuries. The truck is described as a late 1990s Ford Ranger truck with tinted windows and black wheels with a possible extended cab and damage on the passenger side.

Police are yet not sure what led to a crash on Interstate 170 that killed a DirecTV serviceman Thursday.
The crash happened on northbound 170 near Page Boulevard just before noon. The Missouri Highway Patrol says a DirecTV service van rear-ended a semi trailer.
Overland Police say the van's driver 35 year old Anthony Graciani of St. Louis was extricated from the wreck and taken to a hospital where he later died. No one else was injured.
