Charges filed after fatal shooting at south city convenience store
Charges are filed against a man for shooting and killing a south St. Louis store owner during a robbery.
23-year-old Joseph Fox is charged with 1st degree murder, assault, robbery, and burglary. Police say Fox was robbing a convenience store in the 4400 block of Chippewa when he shot the owners. One of the victims was hit in the arm and survived. The other was shot and killed.
Fox is held without bond.
ISP identify victim in shooting outside Metro East strip club
BROOKLYN, Ill. -- AP -- Investigators say they’ve identified the man gunned down outside a Metro-East strip club as a 27-year-old St. Louis resident.
Illinois State Police tell the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that Michael Brooks was shot several times early Sunday outside Roxy’s Strip Club in Brooklyn. He died later at a hospital.
Authorities say Brooks had just stepped from his car when he was approached by two men who emerged from another vehicle.
The suspects fled.
There’s no immediate word on any arrests being made in the case.
Suspect in custody connected to fatal south city robbery
The St. Louis Police Department says a suspect is in custody connected to fatal shooting at a south city convenience store last week.
The shooting happened on Friday on the 4400 block of Chippewa. Police say a suspect was trying to rob the store when one of the owners threaten the suspect with a baseball bat. The suspect then shot both of the owners, killing one and hitting the other in the arm.
Police cannot release more information on the suspect until warrants are issued.

Search continues for suspects in North County shooting
The victim of a fatal shooting in a north county neighborhood, has been identified.
Police say 17-year-old Tavelle Coleman was shot inside a Castlepoint home around 9:45 Monday night. There were seven other people in the house when the shooting happened.
The Castlepoint neighborhood is south of 270 just west of 367.
One man dead after botched robbery attempt
One of the brothers injured during a botched robbery this morning in south St. Louis, has died. Now, they are asking for help to local the suspect in the murder.
On Friday, the suspect walked into a store at 4400 Chippewa. He demanded money from the owners--who were brothers. One of the men pulled out a baseball bat. That is when the suspect produced a gun and shot the two men.
19-year-old Haris Gogic was shot in the head and died later Friday afternoon. His brother was shot in the arm and is in stable condition.
The suspect is on the loosed. He is described as a black male, dark complexion, slim build, approximately 6 feet tall, late 20's - early 30's, having a mustache and goatee . He was wearing a grey shirt, grey pants and grey baseball cap.
Teen shot outside of North County home
Still no suspects after a 14-year-old was shot outside a North County home last night.
Police say they were called to a home near Lilac and 270 around 10:30 last night. There was a large party taking place at the house. Witnesses said the teen was shot outside the house, but there was no information on who the shooter was.
Police also say they do not know the motive for the attack. The victim is expected to survive.
Charges filed against former police officer in shooting
Charges are filed against the former police officer who shot a man during an argument last night.
James Little faces several charges including 1st degree murder for shooting and killing Will Dupree. St. Louis Police say Little was dropping his child off at the home of the child's mother. That is when Little and Dupree started arguing. The incident escalated and Little allegedly shot Dupree several times.
Dupree was pronounced dead that scene. Little once served as a police officer, but left the force in 2007.
Police arrest man for shooting into South St. Louis home
A suspect is in custody after allegedly shooting into a South St. Louis home.
Police were on the scene when they saw the suspect fire several shots into a home near the intersection of Nebraska and Cherokee. Officers chased the man and caught him just a few blocks away.
No one was injured in the home and it is not known why he shot at the house.
