Monday, 16 December 2013 17:00 Published in Local News

The 17-year-old New Zealand songwriter who took the world by storm this year, is coming to St. Louis next year.

Lorde announced that she will visit St. Louis on March 20 as part of her North American tour. Her single "Royals" remained on the Billboard charts for nine weeks.

Tickets for her St. Louis show go on sale December 20 at 10 a.m. Tickets will be $45 and $35.

The Cardinals have made another move to improve their hitting against left-handed pitching.

The team announced they have signed infielder Mark Ellis to a one-year deal. Ellis has spent more than 11 seasons in the majors. Last year, Ellis was with the Dodgers and hit .270 with 48 RBI.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

A St. Charles man is in custody, connected to the sexual assault of a young relative.

Prosecutors have charged Jonathon Gregg with statutory sodomy and child molestation. Court documents say that between June and August of this year, Gregg targeted a nine-year-old girl.

He is held on $25,000 bail.
