Overland Police giving away gun locks Thursday evening
Thursday, 21 March 2013 17:21 Published in Local News There is still time to pick up a free gun lock courtesy of the Overland Police Department. Overland police officers will be handing them out during the “Overland Business Association Expo.”
The expo happens Thursday from 4PM - 8PM at at the Overland Community Center.

Charges are filed for a fatal stabbing on Laclede's Landing on March 10.
Darael Fentress faces multiple charges after police say he stabbed Kyle Roberts during an argument. Roberts was taken to the hospital where he died in the early morning of March 10. Fentress ran away from the scene, but was arrested later than night.

Volunteers to clean Civil War sites in Missouri

ST. LOUIS (AP) — Volunteers in Missouri will participate next month in an effort to clean and restore Civil War sites.
The Civil War Trust is coordinating the cleanup on April 6, dubbed Park Day. Nationwide, more than 100 historic sites in 24 states will be cleaned.
In Missouri, that will include the Battle of Athens State Historic Site at Revere; the Battle of Lexington State Historic Site at Lexington; the Fort Davidson State Historic Site at Pilot Knob; Lone Jack Civil War Battlefield and Soldier's Cemetery and Museum at Lone Jack; and Wilson's Creek National Battlefield at Republic.
The Civil War Trust says Missourians interested in volunteering should check its website.
