Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies caught up with a pair of unsuccessful robbers.

Joshua Benton and Patrick Rubach face first-degree robbery charges for crimes at a Circle K Convenience store in High Ridge and Steak n Shake in Fenton. Deputies say that they received a call from Benton to report that Rubach, who is his roommate, committed the crimes. After an investigation, authorities discovered that both men were involved in the crimes.

At both the Circle K and Steak n Shake, deputies say the men pulled a gun on employees and demanded money. And at both places, the men left with no money. The pair are held on a quarter-million dollar bond.

Charges are filed against two men who allegedly broke into a woman's home on Tuesday.

Police say Terrill Wise and Jahon Anderson kicked down the door of the woman's home on Lafayette near I-44. The woman grabbed her one-year-old child and hid in a shower in the upstairs bathroom. The mother says she heard the suspects moving throughout her home and one even came into the bathroom but did not see her. The woman called 911 and when an officer arrived, he confronted the suspects.

The officer says a suspect attacked him and that is when he shot the man. Other officers responded to the scene and both suspects were captured. Wise and Anderson now face multiple felony charges.

The woman and her child were not hurt.
