St. Louis police say three people taken into custody yesterday aren't connected to the murder of a teen who was gunned down near a school bus stop Tuesday morning.

Police say 16 year old James Moore had been waiting for the school bus at Goodfellow and St. Louis Avenue when a masked man got out of a car, chased him into a nearby park and shot him several times.  Moore died at the scene.

Later in the day, police stopped a car matching the description of the one used in the murder.  The three suspects from that car who were initially questioned in the murder didn't get off scot-free.  They're facing charges for fleeing from police.

The investigation into Moore's death is ongoing.  Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 1-866-371-TIPS.

Charges are filed against a teen connected to Wednesday's shooting of a Vashon High School senior.

17-year-old Lamarco Love is accused in the shooting. Police say that a group of teenagers were walking to school, when they were approached by Love and two others. An argument followed and when the first group of kids started to walk away, Love allegedly shot at them. A 17-year-old was hit in the back, and he is now in stable condition.

Police do not believe incident was gang related, but the result of a feud between the two groups.

GRANITE CITY, Ill. (AP) - Authorities in southwestern Illinois' Granite City say they've arrested a suspect in the shooting death of a 13-year-old boy.

Granite City Police Maj. Jeff Connor says he believes Clayton Veninga's death Wednesday night was not accidental, though he didn't elaborate on the possible motive or what led police to the suspect.

Connor said he expected to seek charges Friday against the suspect, who Connor said was an acquaintance of the victim and is old enough to be prosecuted as an adult.

Connor has said the boy was sitting on a friend's porch when he was shot. He died later at a hospital.
