A total of three people now face charges connected to last week's fatal hit-and-run accident outside of Cahokia.

Kevin Powell was charged with several crimes Thursday, including reckless homicide, for allegedly hitting and killing 9-year-old Fabian Teson last Thursday.

A passenger in the vehicle, 17-year-old Devan Harris, was charged with two counts of obstruction justice.

25-year-old Alysa Sherwood owns the car that Powell was driving. She faces charges for letting him use the car.

   St. Clair County officials say charges could come as soon as Thursday against a teenage driver suspected in a hit and run accident that killed a 9 year old boy last week.

   Authorities located 17 year old Kevin Powell earlier Wednesday afternoon. Police started looking for Powell after they found the vehicle believed involved in the accident yesterday.

   Nine year old Fabian Teson was hit while riding is bike near Cahokia last Thursday. Teson died at Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital on Saturday.  His funeral is set for Thursday, one week after he was struck.

   Police are looking for a teenager as a person of interest after recovering the vehicle involved in hit and run accident that killed a 9 year old boy just outside of Cahokia, Illinois last week.  

   The vehicle involved in the fatal accident was found Tuesday morning on Laclede's Landing.  

   The victim, Fabian Teson was struck while riding his bicycle around midday last Thursday.  He died at Cardinal Glennon Children Hospital on Saturday.  

   St. Clair County Sheriff Richard Watson says they're looking for 17 year old Kevin Powell as a person of interest in the case.

A search is underway for three suspects after they crashed a stolen vehicle into a north County house.

Police say the suspects were driving a stolen Cadillac sedan when they crashed into a Spanish Lake home around 9:30 this morning. The suspects ran from the scene, but police believe they know their identities. K-9 units were called in to help with the search. No one was injured in the house.

   The flags are at half-staff in Fairview Heights after a man known for his community service was struck and killed while riding his bicycle Wednesday morning.  

   Sixty-two year old Phil Lubeck was named citizen of the year in 2011 by the Fairview Heights Chamber of Commerce.  He was a fixture on the town’s Homecoming Committee and volunteered at Grace Church.  

   Police say Lubeck was struck along Route 159 when he turned into the path of an oncoming car.  He was rushed to a hospital where he died.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — South Korea says two veteran pilots were flying the Asiana Airlines jetliner when it crashed while landing at San Francisco's airport, killing two people.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport says four pilots were aboard and rotated in two-person shifts during the flight from Asia.

Officials say more than 300 passengers and crew members were aboard when it slammed into the runway and caught fire. The two dead were found outside the wreckage. Another 182 people were taken to hospitals, many with minor injuries.

San Francisco's fire chief says authorities have accounted for all passengers and crew members who were aboard the jetliner.

The flight originated in Shanghai, China with a stopover in Seoul.

National Transportation Safety Board investigators are on the scene.

ST. LOUIS (AP) — Three people have been killed and two critically injured in a fiery rollover accident in St. Louis.

The Post-Dispatch reports that the accident happened early Saturday. St. Louis police identified the driver as 43-year-old Lydell Templeton of St. Louis. The identities of the other victims weren't immediately released.

Police say Templeton was speeding on Interstate 64 when he lost control of his vehicle. The car collided with the median wall and overturned several times before catching fire.

Four of the five occupants were thrown from the vehicle.

Two O'Fallon, Missouri men face murder charges for their role in a fatal hit-and-run.

Prosecutors say Kevin Labraido Jr and Robert Bathe were involved in a busted drug deal that led to the accident in St. Charles County yesterday. The Police report says the two were trying to buy drugs from someone at the home to Tyler Pinner.

When Bathe and Labraido refused to pay for the drugs, Pinner tried to stop their vehicle. Pinner was dragged a short distance and then run over. Both men are charged with second-degree murder.

A trial date is set for the O'Fallon, Missouri man accused of killing a Caruthersville police officer.

The trial of 31-year-old Deonta Williamson will start January 27. Prosecutors say Williamson first tried to set his stepfather on fire and burn down his home in O'Fallon. Hours later Police saw the suspect driving a stolen SUV on Missouri 84 in the bootheel. Officers set up spike strips to stop Williamson, but he rammed a police cruiser. The collision killed officer Evan Burns.

In addition to the first-degree murder charge, Williamson faces assault, arson and armed criminal action charges from the O’Fallon incident.

An Arnold grandmother is headed to prison for being drunk when she caused an accident that killed her granddaughter.

Theresa Fortner will spend  12 and-a-half years in prison. Fortner was driving her 20-month-old granddaughter on Interstate 55 when she crashed into a street sign, a house, a tree and a fence. The car's black box showed she was traveling nearly 70 miles an hour and never applied the brakes before the accident.

Fortner's blood alcohol content was almost triple the legal limit.
