Police have identified the man shot and killed this morning in North St. Louis.
Police received a call about a shooting just after 8 AM. When officers arrived they found 45-year-old Sean Jackson with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. No information on any suspects or a motive for the shooting.
ATTLEBORO, Mass. (AP) - Newly released surveillance photos show former New England Patriot Aaron Hernandez holding what authorities say appears to be a gun, shortly after his friend was shot to death.
The photos taken from Hernandez's home surveillance system are contained in more than 100 pages of court records released Thursday.
Hernandez has pleaded not guilty to murder in the death of 27-year-old Odin Lloyd, whose body was found June 17 near Hernandez's home.
An affidavit says the pictures show Hernandez in his basement holding a gun not long after Lloyd was killed. The surveillance was cut off within minutes.
Other photos show what authorities say is Hernandez in his living room before Lloyd's killing also holding what they believe is a gun.
Police say Lloyd was killed with a .45 caliber gun, but it has not been recovered.
ST. LOUIS (AP) - Just two weeks after 9-year-old Tyrese Short was shot to death in St. Louis, his family has apparently been targeted again.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that two people were shot Tuesday night in a spray of gunfire at the family's home. One of the two remains hospitalized. Family members say they have no enemies and don't know why they are being targeted.
Tyrese was riding in his father's sport utility vehicle on July 10 when someone shot into the rear window. Tyrese was struck in the back of the head and killed. His father and two of his father's cousins also in the SUV were not hurt.
STEELVILLE, Mo. (AP) - An eastern Missouri man is charged with second-degree murder, accused of shooting another man following an argument along the Meramec River.
The shooting happened Saturday afternoon. The suspect, 59 year old James Crocker of Steelville, is jailed on $650,000 cash-only bond.
Court records allege that Crocker, a property owner along the river, was angry that a man on a float trip stopped to urinate on a gravel bar. Crocker is accused of shooting the man's traveling companion, 48 year old Paul Dart, Jr. of Robertsville.
Dart's widow, Loretta Dart says her husband had tried to intervene to keep the peace.
"My husband was trying to solve the situation without anyone getting hurt," she said. "And it wound up taking his life."
Dart's widow says he was on his annual float trip with about 50 others.
A Steelville man faces charges for allegedly shooting and killing a man during an argument.
Witnesses say James Crocker was arguing with Paul Dart Jr over whether Dart was standing on private or public property. The argument escalated and that is when police say Crocker fired several shots at Dart--one bullet hit him in the head. Dart was pronounced dead just a short time later.
Crocker faces second-degree murder charges and is held on a $650,000 bond.
Charges are filed against a man for allegedly shooting his friend after an argument over spilled beer.
Steven Rozier Jr faces charges including murder for allegedly shooting Mario Shackelford several times in the chest.
The incident started when three men, including Rozier and Shackelford, were drinking beer in a car. Rozier spilled his beer and an argument followed. During the argument, police say Rozier got a gun and started shooting.
Shackelford was pronounced dead at the scene.
One man faces charges, including first degree murder, for allegedly shooting two men Tuesday night.
Police say 20-year-old Ralph Cato approached three people as they sat on the front porch of a home near Fairgrounds Park and started shooting. The shots hit two men, critically injuring one man and killing the other. The victim has been ID'ed as Charles Moorehead.
Prosecutors issued six felony charges against Cato, ranging from murder to assault and armed criminal action.
The visitation for the nine-year-old boy shot and killed while riding in a car with his father last week.
Family and friends will say goodbye to Tyrese Short this afternoon. The visitation runs from 3PM to 7PM at the Friendly Temple Church in North St. Louis. Tyrese lived with his mother in Texas, but was spending the summer with his father in St. Louis. He was in a car with his father at 3:30 in the morning last Wednesday when someone opened fire on the car, hitting only Tyrese. He died the next day at the hospital.
His funeral will be held Thursday morning.

The St. Clair County States Attorney is considering charges after a six year old child got a hold of a gun and shot an 11 year old boy in Belleville Tuesday night.
Belleville police spokesman Mark Heffernan says it happened when three children were playing upstairs in a home during a family barbecue. Police say the handgun didn't belong to the owners of the house but may have come from someone who was staying there.
Eleven year old Leonard Smith, Jr. was shot in the head and died on the way to the hospital.
Police say Smith lived in East St. Louis and was visiting the family in Belleville.
One man is dead and another is in critical condition after a shooting in North St. Louis Tuesday afternoon.
Police say about 4 p.m, a man approached a home near Fairground Park. He reportedly yelled at the people sitting on the front porch and then fired shots at them.
One man was hit in the chest. He later died. Another man was hit in the back. He's hospitalized in critical, but stable condition.
Police say a 20 year old man has been taken into custody in connection to the shooting. Police say a disagreement over a debt led to the confrontation.
