The Riverview Gardens School District has chosen Kirkwood as it's second choice to send its transfer students, but Kirkwood says it only has room for 100. Over 1,100 parents in the unaccredited Riverview Gardens district have applied for the transfer program. The Melville School District has said it would accept 150 students. Riverview Gardens will have to pay around $12,000 per transfer student. The deadline for transfer applications for Normandy and Riverview Gardens is Thursday.
