A Missouri man has filed a lawsuit claiming the state requires to much of his information to obtain a concealed carry permit.

Eric Griffin lives in the southeastern Stoddard County. He refused to let the DMV scan his records into their system. Griffin claims that is an invasion of privacy and should have no bearing on his ability to get a conceal carry license.

KMOV reports that Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder has thrown his support behind the lawsuit. The lawsuit seeks an injunction against the DMV and claims their actions are illegal.

A bank is offering a reward to find the man who robbed them over the weekend.

The Simmons First National Bank in Normandy just off Lucas and Hunt was robbed on Saturday morning. While the robber never showed a weapon, he told tellers he had one. The suspect is described as a black man in his mid to late 30s standing 5'7" to 5'10" tall.

The bank is offering $500 in addition to the $1000 reward offered by CrimeStoppers. Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 866-371-TIPS.

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - A federal judge in Connecticut has again ruled that competitive cheerleading is not a sport, and Quinnipiac University remains under an injunction that requires the school to keep its women's volleyball team.

Several volleyball players and their coach successfully sued the university in 2009 after it announced it would eliminate volleyball for budgetary reasons and replace it with a competitive cheer squad. The judge issued the injunction at that time.

On Monday, the judge ruled that upgrades to cheerleading - now called acrobatics and tumbling - still do not make it a sport, and said that even with the addition of a women's rugby team, the school must keep volleyball out of Title IX restraints that ban sex discrimination in federally funded school programs, including sports.
