Police say the victims' 18 year old son is among the four suspects arrested in the deaths of a St. Francois County couple whose home burned Monday morning.

The bodies of 50 year old Stanley Halter and his 46 year old wife, Tammy were found after firefighters extinguished the pre-dawn blaze at the couples rural Park Hills home.  Police say an autopsy indicated that Stanley and Tammy Halter had been murdered.

Four people are now in custody, including 18 year old Dallas Halter, the couple's son.  Also in custody are 19 year old William Carrico, 19 year old Adam Moore and 24 year old Maxwell Lee.  All four were arrested on Wednesday at different locations in and around Ironton County.

Police haven't released a possible motive for the killings.

Woman fined after guilty plea for bigamy

FARMINGTON, Mo. (AP) - An eastern Missouri woman has been fined $500 after pleading guilty to a rare charge - bigamy.

The Daily Journal newspaper in Park Hills, Mo. reports that 28-year-old Michelle Declue pleaded guilty to the misdemeanor on Thursday and the judge issued the fine.

Court documents show that Declue was married in December 2010 in St. Francois County. Late last year, her husband told deputies that he had recently discovered his wife had married in October 2008 in St. Clair County, Ill., and never dissolved that union.

St. Francois County prosecutor Jerrod Mahurin says the marriage in Illinois nullifies the Missouri union.

No charges will be filed against the driver of a pickup truck that struck and killed a six year old boy late Tuesday afternoon.

The Missouri Highway Patrol reports that the accident happened about 5:00 p.m. along Highway 8 near Highway P, just west of Park Hills, in St. Francois County.

Police say two boys had been playing along the roadside when Evan Ketto ran into the path of the truck. It swerved, but couldn't avoid striking him.

The child was airlifted to a Farmington hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
