Charges are filed against two men who allegedly broke into a woman's home on Tuesday.

Police say Terrill Wise and Jahon Anderson kicked down the door of the woman's home on Lafayette near I-44. The woman grabbed her one-year-old child and hid in a shower in the upstairs bathroom. The mother says she heard the suspects moving throughout her home and one even came into the bathroom but did not see her. The woman called 911 and when an officer arrived, he confronted the suspects.

The officer says a suspect attacked him and that is when he shot the man. Other officers responded to the scene and both suspects were captured. Wise and Anderson now face multiple felony charges.

The woman and her child were not hurt.

Police are looking for a suspect in an early morning smash and grab at Fenton Pawn Store. The burglary happened just after 1 am in the 400 block of Gravois in Fenton.

Fenton police say they found  a broken glass door into the store.  They also discovered two display cases that had been smashed and looted of their merchandise.

KSDK Newschannel 5 reports the owner says estimated a total in excess of $15,000.00 in gold chains and assorted gold jewelry was stolen in the break-in.

A surveillance tape shows the bandit wearing a nylon mask and smashing his way into the store and into the glass cases where the valuables were stored. Police say the suspect is a light skinned male wearing blue shorts and a long-sleeve blue shirt.
