WARRENTON, Mo. (AP) - An eastern Missouri man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for a long string of burglaries dating back more than two decades.
A Warren County judge on Tuesday sentenced 31-year-old George Dustin Augusta III of Truesdale. He pleaded guilty in June to 14 counts of burglary and 14 counts of stealing for crimes dating to the 1980s.
Augusta told authorities he broke into the homes to steal items and sell them so he could pay child support.
