Lottery: $1 M ticket sold in St. Louis Co.

Monday, 15 April 2013 10:29 Published in Local News

ST. LOUIS (AP) - Someone purchased a $1 million lottery ticket in St. Louis County and the Missouri Lottery is urging that person to come forward.

The Mega Millions ticket was purchased at a Circle K convenience store on Watson Road in St. Louis County for the April 12 drawing. The recipient matched all five white-ball numbers drawn, and because that person chose the Megaplier option, the prize rose to $1 million.

The winning number combination was 1, 10, 13, 19 and 21.

Mega Millions winners have 180 days from the drawing to claim the prize - in this case, until Oct. 9. Missouri Lottery offices are in St. Louis, Jefferson City, Springfield and Kansas City.

Still working on those taxes?

Tax filers will be able to drop off returns in the drive-thru area at the Main Post Office in Downtown St. Louis.  You have until midnight to get the forms postmarked.

Postal service officials say they will NOT have employees on the streets in front of the Post Office to collect returns as they have offered in the past.  Also, there will be no extended retail hours today (Monday).

Postal officials say if customers need postage and mailing supplies, use the Downtown location until 8 p.m. Monday.

Large collection boxes will be set up along Market Street to drop off returns before midnight.

Scott Schnuck is speaking out in a you tube video about the grocery chains credit  and debit card breach. The grocery chain now says 2.4 million Schnucks customers may have been compromised between December of last year and March 2013.

The company also sent news outlets a timeline showing what happened and when. The company says it was told of an issue on March 15 but did not communicate any concern to customers until March 30.
