MoDOT is planning emergency work on I-70 in the coming weeks.
The weekend of August 9-11, crews will close all lanes of northbound of Route 141 at I-70. MoDOT needs to repair a bridge at that location after a truck hit it in late June. The lanes will closes at 8 Friday night and reopen by that Monday morning rush.
There is a concert at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater Sunday. Concertgoers will not be able to access westbound I-70 from Earth City Expressway after the concert.
The closure was scheduled for this weekend, but had to be rescheduled because of the rainy forecast.
Charges are filed against Keith Wildharber after police say he accidentally shot and killed his friend.
Wildharber was drinking with his friends on Monday night, when witnesses say he playfully pulled out a gun, pointed it at the victim, asked the victim if he trusted him, and pulled the trigger. The victim died from a gunshot wound to the stomach. Police say Wildharber believed the gun was unloaded.
He now faces a charge of involuntary manslaughter.
A Washington University student is shaken up but uninjured after they were robbed at gunpoint on the school's campus Tuesday morning.
An email to students and staff said that a student was approached in a parking lot just after 8 AM. The suspect showed a gun and stole the victim's laptop and cell phone. The suspects is a man between 20 and 30 years old. He is about 6'0" tall and has long dreadlocks. He drove away in a blue Pontiac Aztec.
University officials remind everyone the best thing to do when being robbed is to give the thief what they want.
