St. Louis county man accused of shooting at three boys

NORTHWOODS, Mo. (AP) - A St. Louis County man is facing charges for allegedly shooting at three young siblings.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that 31-year-old Jerome McKay of Northwoods is jailed on $75,000 bond. He is accused of shooting and wounding an 8-year-old boy Friday night. The boy was struck in the arm and taken to a hospital. His 4-year-old brother had a graze wound and was treated at the scene. A 12-year-old boy was unhurt.

Police say McKay is a cousin of one of the boys. Police have not discussed a motive and have not said if the boys were the intended targets.

 

Water main break forces closures in O'Fallon

A water main break in O'Fallon, Missouri has forced the closure of Main Street.

Crews are on the scene, but is is uncertain as to how long drivers will be detoured. Officials hope the road will be  re-opened for this afternoon's rush hour. Main Street is currently closed from Civic Park Drive to Elm Street.

Drivers are encouraged to take an alternate route.

MetroLink riders should expect delays this week

Riders on the MetroLink could experience short delays this week.

Work is scheduled to start today and is expected to run through Sunday. MetroLink will operate on a single track at the Rock Road and Wellston stations today, Friday, and over the weekend. Red Line passengers could be delayed up to 10 minutes. Tuesday through Thursday, a single track will operate at the UMSL South, UMSL North, and North Hanley stations.

Blue Line passengers could then experience short delays.
