St. Louis, MO (KTRS) - Operations by the ridesharing service Lyft, are at a standstill.
A judge issued a restraining order prohibiting Lyft drivers from picking up passengers. The St. Louis Taxi Commission says drivers for the company are not properly licensed. Lyft says that they put prospective drivers through a driving test and background check.
Lyft's service in St. Louis just started on Friday evening at 7 PM. The next hearing is set for May 6.
St. Louis, MO (KTRS) - Police say that a St. Louis County man was smoking pot when his son accidentally shot his younger brother.
Larry Madison now faces charges of first-degree endangering the welfare of a child and marijuana possession. Investigators say Madison left a loaded shotgun within easy reaching distance of his two sons, who are 3 and 4 years old. Police say he was smoking marijuana in another room when the 4-year-old picked up the shotgun and shot his 3-year-old brother. The younger boy was taken to the hospital after being grazed by a bullet.
Police say the children’s mother was also home at the time.
