Man dead after house fire in North St. Louis

Authorities confirm that one man is dead after a house fire in North St. Louis.

Firefighters were called to the house at the intersection of Lotus and Kingshighway just before 3 PM. The firefighters found the man on the second floor of the home and were unable to revive him.

Investigators continue their work to determine the cause of the fire.

 

Flood relief fund established; accepting donations

A relief fund is now accepting donations to benefit families affected by flooding in one part of southern Missouri.

The fund was established by the Meramec Regional Community Foundation. All donations will be directed toward relief efforts in Pulaski County. The hardest hit area was Waynesville--with a population of around 5,000. The initial donation was made by the Community Foundation of the Ozarks.

St. Louis sisters give birth on same day

A pair of St. Louis area sisters now share an even closer bond--they gave birth on the same day.

Fox 2 reports that Stacy Henning and Shanon Blase both gave birth yesterday at Mercy Hospital. Stacy gave birth to a little girl and Shanon had a boy.
